humans.

Alright, yesterday on my way to class some girl steps off of the shuttle and falls pretty hard. Instinctively I ask if she was ok and try to help her up. Although there was a crowd of people, nobody even attempted to see if she was ok... they stared, a few gasped, & some snickered, then walked right on the bus. Then these 2 students sitting next to me were like "did you see that girl fall? wow, people are so weird." First of all, how does that make her weird? & secondly, why didn't you reach out to help? What if she had seriously injured herself? I'm not saying that i'm a saint, because honestly in my mind I was laughing :/ but i still made sure she was ok. That scenario made me realize how selfish & cold-hearted people can be.

There's a show on ABC called What Would You Do? that acts out scenarios to see how people react to them. Here's an episode about people falling in public, & whether or not they get help or if others walk by. The ending almost made me cry.

This made me cry at the end. If I see someone injured sometimes I freeze not knowing what to do but then I help. Because there was a time I needed help in the street and no one helped me. They just walked by or walked around/over me. Act kind lend a helping hand, pay it forward.

I swear this new generation of kids are cold as f*cking ice. If I saw someone fall, I would help them up no matter how I felt about them, just because it's the right thing to do. As for the video, no words... Love your blog, make sure you stop by mine & show some love.
